Booking types, durations and group sizes
Golf O'Clock lets you create a booking option for each experience you sell, such as bay rental, lessons or league night, each with its own lengths, start times and group sizes. A 30-minute practice session, a two-hour group outing and a coached lesson need different setups.

One booking option per experience
Create a booking option for each thing customers book, such as Bay rental, Lessons or League night. Each one has its own:
- Lengths, either fixed choices like 30, 60 and 90 minutes, or a range the customer picks from.
- Start times, on a regular grid or at set times like 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM for a clinic.
- Group size, so you know how many players are coming.
- Bays, which ones it can use, and whether customers pick their bay or how many bays they need. See managing your bays.
- Cleanup time between sessions, which holds the bay but is never charged.
- Waitlist, so customers can queue for a full slot.
Across 200+ venues on Golf O'Clock, the average booking runs 1.95 hours in peak season and 1.75 hours in low season, so it pays to offer lengths that match how long people actually stay.
Showing options as tabs
Several booking options can appear together as tabs on your online booking page, so customers switch between bay rental and lessons in one place. You can also keep an option for staff only.
Common questions
- Can a lesson book both a bay and a coach?
- Yes. A booking option can require a bay and a coach together, and only offers times when both are free. More in golf lessons and coaches.
- Can big groups be split across several bays?
- Yes. Set how many players fit per bay, and larger groups are offered more bays.
- Is the cleanup time charged to the customer?
- No. It only keeps the bay free between sessions.
