Golf O'Clock lets you add liability waivers and custom questions to [online booking](https://golfoclock.com/features/online-booking) and checkout, so you have what you need before a customer plays or buys. Ask once on their profile, or each time at checkout.

## Two places to ask

- **On the customer's profile**, for things you need once, such as a waiver acknowledgement or a handicap. Required questions are answered before their first booking.
- **At checkout**, for things that change per purchase or booking, such as "Who is this gift for?" when someone buys from your [online store](https://golfoclock.com/help/online-store-for-golf-venues).

## Required means required

Required questions can't be skipped, so you always have a signed waiver or the details you need.

## What venues ask

- A liability waiver, accepted before the first visit.
- A handicap, so your team knows each player's level.
- How the customer heard about you, to see which marketing brings people in.
- Who a gift is for, on products bought for someone else.

## Why venues use it

Collecting waivers on paper at the desk slows [check-in](https://golfoclock.com/help/checking-in-customers) and gets lost. Asking online, once, before the first booking means every player has agreed to your terms before they arrive, and the answers are stored with their [customer profile](https://golfoclock.com/help/customer-profiles-crm).

## Common questions

**Can a waiver apply to one product only?**
Yes. Questions can be limited to specific products or options.

**Who writes the waiver?**
You do. Use your own legal wording.

**Where can I see the answers?**
On the customer's profile or the order, depending on where you asked.
