Switching golf simulator booking software shouldn't mean losing your customer list or asking members to sign up again. Golf O'Clock imports what you already have: customers, tags, notes, marketing consent and active memberships.

## What you can bring over

- **Customers**, with names, emails, phone numbers and notes.
- **Tags**, so members and VIPs arrive already labeled, ready to use with [customer tags and segments](https://golfoclock.com/help/customer-tags-and-segments).
- **Marketing consent**, so opt-outs are respected from day one.
- **Active memberships**, with their renewal dates, so [memberships](https://golfoclock.com/help/membership-software-indoor-golf) carry on billing as before.

## How it works

Export a spreadsheet from your old system and import it. A preview shows what will be created or updated before anything changes, and any rows with problems are listed so you can fix them and run them again. Importing is quiet: nobody is emailed until you're ready to launch.

## Customers keep their history

When an imported customer signs in for the first time with the same email or phone, they pick up their [customer profile](https://golfoclock.com/help/customer-profiles-crm), memberships and history automatically.

## Choosing when to switch

If you can pick your timing, switch outside your busiest weeks. Across 200+ venues on Golf O'Clock, high season runs November through May, and the three busiest months are March, January and April. For what to look for in a new system, see our overview of [golf simulator booking software](https://golfoclock.com/golf-simulator-booking-software).

## Why venues use it

The biggest worry about switching systems is losing customers and members on the way. Importing your list, tags and memberships means your regulars find their history waiting and your members keep their perks from the first day.

## Common questions

**Can I run an import twice?**
Yes. Existing customers are updated, not duplicated.

**Do saved cards come over?**
No. Card details can't be moved between systems, so customers add a card on their next booking.

**Will customers be emailed during the import?**
No. Imports send nothing.
